A native of Needham, Massachusetts Cerie is passionate about leveraging the power of sport to shape lives, open doors, and create global community. As a female basketball coach and mentor for young athletes, she specializes as a private basketball shooting coach and skills trainer, offering elite, personalized basketball training in the Boston area and beyond.
What Drives Me
My basketball journey began in my driveway with a dream - to become the kind of player I admired, even when there weren’t many women in the spotlight to look up to. When I was a young basketball player, the sports landscape looked pretty different. Female athletes had limited visibility, and women’s sports didn’t have the recognition that they do today. Role models were scarce and often out of reach, which meant I had to carve my own path—driven by passion, persistence, and a deep love for the game.
Thankfully, basketball, and the world around it has evolved. But now, more than ever, representation still matters. Young female athletes need to see it to be it. They need to see positive and accomplished role models and be in environments that allow them to dream big, grow with purpose, and thrive—both on and off the court.
My experiences shaped not only the player I became, but the purpose I carry today. I teach girls young athletes to love the game because I know firsthand how powerful and transformative sport can be. Basketball shapes confidence, builds character, and creates opportunity. It’s taken me around the world, given me a voice, and connected me with a global community of strong, driven women.
Basketball has been the driving force in my life and has given me so much. My mission now is to give back by empowering the next generation of young athletes—to help them develop not only their skills, but also the self-belief , passion, and confidence they’ll carry with them for life.
My hope is to empower you to shoot your shot and chase your dreams with everything you’ve got. No matter what happens in basketball or life, the most important thing is to just keep shooting.
Why train with me?
I’ve walked this path before you, and I know what it’s like to be in your shoes — trying to navigate through life while chasing big basketball dreams. I’ve been through the early mornings, the tough workouts, the doubts, and the successes. I know what it takes to get there.
With me, training isn’t just about getting more shots up or learning new moves (though we’ll do plenty of that!). It’s about developing skills that last, building confidence, and surrounding yourself with a positive community with a shared passion. It’s about learning to love the process, because the process is what shapes who you are. It’s about becoming the best version of yourself — on and off the court.
No matter where basketball takes you, I want to be the one in your corner showing you the way, believing in you, and empowering you to chase your dreams with everything you’ve got.
I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to see where this game takes you!
